LadyStefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta (March 28, 1986). Pop singer. Lady Gaga is her worldwide name. She was born in Manhattan, New York, United States. Her mother was Cynthia Louise Bissett, vice president of the mobile company Verizon. Her father was Joseph Anthony Germanotta, Jr. A businessman. She was raised in Manhattan's exclusive Upper East Side with a Catholic family. Because of this, her parents sent her to the Convent of the Sacred Heart which was a prestigious and religious school. From the time she was a little girl, she was fascinated by music and was taught to play the piano. At the age of thirteen, she recorded her first song. She participated in open mic night. Queen, Madonna Madonna, Madonna, and David Bowie were her favorite singers. When she graduated from high school she was accepted into New York University's Tisch School of Art in music studies. But she was not able to finish her education. She decided to embark on her career in music. Musical beginnings In New York, she began singing melodic songs at the piano in clubs and bars. The first show she produced was by her and producer composer RedOne and RedOne. They called it: Boys, Boys Boys. This production did not go well. Britney Spears was a fan of her songs and she made use of her writing skills. She also was Interscope's composer for the New Kids on the Block and Fergie. While doing this, Stefani was performing on the Lower East Side with cover bands like Mackin Pulsifer and SGBand.
