Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe comes from a multi-cultural family. She was born within South London. She's English, and her father is Nigerian. She grew up in a south London council estate and attended The Brit School at age fourteen. She was a student of acting at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London. She performed in various stages during her high college days, such as the King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe's acting career began with Storm Damage. Since then, she's been making guest appearances in films like Teachers, Doctors Casualty Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe landed her first motion picture role in the Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream, opposite Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor. The following year, she played Elisha (a BBC Three drama-pilot) in West 10 LDN. Additionally she was a part of Trexx as Ollie as well as six episodes of Flipside. In 2008, Madekwe landed Bambi as the main character in the ITV2 comedy Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Madekwe also appeared on the comedic How to Lose Friends and alienate others (2008). Some of her theatre credits are Little Sweet Thing (by Roy Williams) as well as Flight Path (by David Watson).
Madekwe made her debut in the US in the US with The Beautiful Life. The drama program aired at The CW for only two episodes, before it was ended. Ashley Davenport, a character on ABC's Revenge drama, was chosen for her as Ashley Davenport. Madekwe's exit from the series was confirmed in May 2013. After two years as the main character she made a guest performance in the opening episode of season three. She played Tituba in the TV show Salem from 2014 to 2016. In June 2012, she got married to her long-time partner, actor Iddo Goldberg. The two have collaborated in the show Secret Diary of a Call Girl, and he is also a part of the cast in the television series Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. Ashley Leggat was a part of Roy and Patty as well her older siblings: Brett, Todd and Bram as well as Rob. Ashley's sports brothers were avid baseball players during the summer months as well as hockey in winter. Ashley did not have the ability to walk, but she danced.
